Description: This talk explores the threats that botnets pose to the mining of cryptocurrencies. The talk will go over a brief history of botnet-inspired threats, operational mechanisms of botnets and an in-depth look at significant botnets that have attacked cryptocurrencies. Countermeasures and implications for growing cryptocurrency usage will also be presented.
